The Lamplighter: Architecture program questions the place of light in the natural environment.
Darkness gradually takes over the surrounding plains and forests. The Ma.Na campus is transformed into a chimerical and dreamlike space. The light becomes a guide and we discover the surroundings with a new eye, outside of reality and without landmarks.
How can we make our mark on a natural and delicate environment? How can we demonstrate our presence without denaturing it?
After the symbolic and dreamlike study of light, and the discovery of the different surrounding and driving forces (rivers, forests, plains, ponds, paths, etc.), the participants are invited to work with metal to create an outdoor luminous device.
