The Wonderlost: furniture program weaves a unique link between ceramics and urban design.
After studying the urban space and its use, and discovering the famous “”terre de Grès””, whose use is anchored in the region since the 14th century, participants are invited to imagine and create pieces of outdoor furniture: from fountains to benches, from bus stations to bollards. How can urban space be reorganized into spaces for resting, waiting or daydreaming?
The program offers a concrete approach through matter, which questions the link between city and countryside and the need to imagine soothing and intelligent public spaces, as a re-conquest of the city by Nature: the earth as the ultimate barrier to “”noise””.
During this program, participants are trained in techniques related to the creation of ceramic objects, their firing and glazing, and their installation in major cities such as Paris, London or Tokyo.
